Splitz Gymnastics Club attended the South West Acrobatic Prelims in March At Yate. Splitz took a team of Gymnasts performing in the in age and out age category, with a wide range of ages this year with some competing in front of a big crowd as young as 6 years old.
Highlights of the Competition were: Cooper & Jess bringing home a Gold Medal, making the mixed pair South West Champions from their fantastically clean performance.
Mens 4, Ryker, Sam, Cooper, Alfie our first ever Mens 4 entry from the club scored the Gold Medal with a brilliant routine and a place at National Finals.
Our High level Youth Trio, Chloe, Roxxi, & Grace stood proudly on the podium to receive their Silver Medal out of a huge 17 partnerships, after giving a phenomenal performance on the floor. The Trio had only been a partnership for around 4 months.
Other Medals include Ryker & Emme ( In Age) and Sam & Ella ( Out of age) both taking Bronze Medals after their fun and fabulous routines.
A special Well Done to Youth Trio Mia, Amelia, & Bella and to Alfie & Elsie who came 4th Place in the mixed pair category.
We were also extremely proud to have 6 of our Gymnasts represent the country in their first ever International Competition at FIG Level. Mia, Amelia & Bella and Chloe, Roxxi & Grace were selected to compete against clubs around the world and we are extremely proud of them and look forward to returning to the Acro Cup Next Year.
A Big Thank you to their Coach Carmen who also choreographed all their routines and Emma also Jo who Coached and also made their lovely leotards.
