On Sunday 13th May, 6 gymnasts from Splitz Artistic Class took part in their second competition.
The Competition was held at Axis Trampoline club in Bristol and they were competing against
gymnasts from 3 other clubs. Each gymnasts competed on two pieces of apparatus, which included
Vault and Floor.
This competition was at a higher level of competency than their previous
competition and the medals were awarded for the combined apparatus scores, of each gymnasts.
So with no individual apparatus medals up for grabs The gymnasts were very pleased to come away
with 2 medals and two gymnasts being awarded 1st place certificates, on the individual pieces of
apparatus.
Etta-Mae Bigwood improved on her previous result and attained 4th on floor and 7th overall in the
Under7, intermediate group. This group comprised of 11 other gymnasts.
Holly Dew and Deimante Simkute competed in the age 9, intermediate group against fifteen other
gymnasts.
Holly attained a very good 6th on floor, 7th on vault and 7th overall.
Deimante was awarded 1st place Certificate on the vault and a bronze medal for her overall
performance on both pieces of apparatus. Their group was of a very high standard and they both
performed excellently to achieve these results.
Emelia Allen competed in the age 9, advanced group and achieved an excellent 1st place on the vault.
And 4th overall, against 9 other gymnasts.
Alexa Rowley and Jessica Tindall competed in the age 10-11, advanced group against 27 other
gymnasts.
Alexa performed an excellent floor routine and was rewarded with third place. Her vault was fourth
and she just missed the chance of a medal, by coming fourth overall.
Jessica Tindall also completed a lovely floor routine and was placed second place. Her vault was
placed fifth. This resulted in her being awarded a silver medal, overall.
All six gymnasts performed to their best ability, presented themselves excellently and were a credit
to the club.
